Having trouble signing in? Read the materials below to find some common problems and solutions.

Initial Suggestions:

First, try opening a new browser window and typing "www.cheapskatemonthly.com" into the address bar. Some links include redirection that causes difficulty. Our own “New Issue Notification” email sometimes has a problem this way.

Be sure that your email address and password are correct-- passwords are case-sensitive. Also, you may have signed up under a different email address than your usual one, so be sure to remember which you chose at sign-up.

Some firewalls can affect the site's ability to communicate with your computer. Be sure that any firewalls you have in place are not blocking the site.

Are you using AOL? A number of subscribers have reported problems with AOL, particularly older versions. A call to AOL customer service usually results in help that solves the problem.

Browsers and "Cookies":

Try clearing the cache and cookies on your web browser.  In Internet Explorer it is under tools/Internet options. Then delete files” and “delete cookies”.

For people with login problems, it seems the newer versions of browsers are defaulted not to accept cookies (cookies are little pieces of computer code that help your computer remember what websites you have visited); cookies must be enabled in order to use our website.

Internet Explorer

Adjust cookie settings for IE 6.0:

- Click Tools
- Click Internet Options
- Click Privacy
- Click Edit
- Type in " www.cheapskatemonthly.com” and click Allow
- Click OK
- Click OK

For less than IE 6

- Click Tools
- Click Internet Options
- Click Security
- Make sure the "Internet" Icon is selected
- Click Customer Level
- Make sure cookies are accepted

Netscape

For 7.x (and possibly 6.x)

- Click Edit
- Click Preference
- Click Privacy and Security
- Make sure enabled cookies is selected

For 4.x

- Your broswer may not be compatible with all the functions of cheapskatemonthly.com. We suggest you update your browser to a newer version.
